Would you like to learn to play an instrument?

Music Tuition is available at Song & Dance School of Music with fully qualified and experienced music teachers. Private lessons are available for Piano, Violin, Guitar, Banjo, Saxophone, Clarinet and Music Theory. From beginners upwards, all pupils are encouraged to enjoy music and many are entered for examinations through The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, now known as ABRSM, though these are not compulsory. We are proud to have a 100% pass rate!
 
Song & Dance has many rooms dedicated to music lessons, from one that is well equipped with a baby grand piano for budding pianists to jamming with your guitar in the Attic Guitar Rooms - plenty of space for teaching to take place. Based in Colne, Lancashire, we are close to M65 motorway near Boundary Mill. We are also in easy reach of Yorkshire.
 
Music Teachers at Song & Dance:

 Justine Leedam - Violin, Piano & Music Theory:
Justine has played the violin and piano since childhood. She studied piano with Elsie Stott, violin with Brian Carlisle, music theory with Peter Young and Singing with Chris Broughton. She has acheived top level Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) examinations in piano, violin, singing and music theory. Lessons for these are available with Justine at SONG & DANCE to advanced levels. Justine thoroughly enjoys playing the violin with Colne Orchestral Society and is secretary for them. During childhood, she was a keen member of a local childrens' choir - Nelson Civic Primary & Junior Choir and she played in Burnley Youth Orchestra.

Michael Bottomly - Guitar & Banjo
Michael is a self taught musician who has played guitar since being at Colne Grammer School, where he played in a band called the Levellers. He travelled Europe and shared the stage with many stars. Over the years he has played in several bands including The Ricky Allan Set at the Cats Whiskers, Burnley. Michael recently played in the orchestra for Disco Inferno with Pendle Youth Theatre and was part of the backing band for Arden Girls Choir at Colne Blues Festival 2010. He can be seen locally playing with Smokey Joe and also as solo artist Michael Dean. Michael has also studied classical singing with Joanne Smith.
