January 2012
Dear Customer, Happy New Year! We're already into January and back to school. Not to worry though, Song & Dance is keeping the pace and we are already stocking all your Ballet and Tap uniforms, music books and Exam books! We have everything you need to make this new year your best yet; from Ballet Shoes, Tap Shoes and Leotards to Hair Accessories, Bags, Pointe Shoes & Accessories. We also have a wide range of Tutor books for all the instruments taught at school, many containing play-along CDs to help with your practice. The Teaching rooms upstairs have proved to be such a success we have have had to expand into the basement! Drum Lessons are about to start so get your lesson booked before all the spaces go! Song & Dance School of Music now has many tutors so we can offer a wider range of instruments being taught. We now offer lessons for: Violin, Piano, Keyboard, Guitar, Banjo, Ukulele, Violin, Viola, Cello, Recorder, Clarinet, Saxophone and Theory of Music. New for the school term in September, we are pleased that Chris Broughton is joining the team to teach the art of singing. So if you've always fancied yourself as a singer or are a member of a choir or theatre group and just wanted that extra help on a one to one basis, then give us a call on 01282 865934. As well as keeping up with the fast-moving times, we are also keeping up with many changes. Over the last few months many exciting things have taken place at Song & Dance. Justine's daughter Zoe has had a baby boy and is taking time away from the shop to be with Evan (although they do pop in from time to time to visit 'Nannykins Justine')! Our violin tutor Emily Hawke has stepped into Zoe's Shoes , so to speak, and is doing a fantastic job working most afternoons. Our Saturday girl Rachel Sturdy has passed her A Levels and is off to University at the end of September. Congratulations to Rachel and we wish her all the best for her future. So filling the Saturday Girl post is Jemma Banks who did such a good job when she came to do her work experience with us earlier in the year. Congratulations are also given to Jemma as she has gained the title of 'Head Girl' for her last year at Primet High School in Colne. Jemma is looking forward to the excitement that working for a busy shop on a Saturday brings! See you soon... |
